Between Movie Pass for the theaters, all the platform options there are to watch movies at home, the vast selection of films at and on both, and television to suite every need and niche, how can I be expected to leave the house? I had the unique experience of having the house to myself this weekend, most of the weekend, anyway, and I watched two movies in a theater and six on various streaming platforms, not to mention all the NFL I watched on Sunday and the podcasts I listened to. Needless to say, I had an uncommonly good weekend to sit and consume cinematic media with my eyes and ears.
All the movies I saw this weekend led me to make a tweet and to use an emoji to rate each one.
I don’t know what an average number of movies a day/week/month/year looks like. I do know of the 365 movies in 365 days challenge and with parameters that aren’t that loose, I’d say I blow that challenge out of the water. Now, everyone isn’t part of a film festival, member of two film clubs, and screens submissions for 3-4 festivals each year, so maybe that’s not fair. But I do recommend it if you want to see more interesting, challenging, ridiculous, trendsetting movies.
